Arun Sussex Boat Jumble

Open 10.00am to 3.00pm.

The picturesque seaside harbor town of Littlehampton, on the eastern bank of the River Arun, plays host to this splendid Sussex Boat Jumble. The Boat Jumble is typically held early on in the summer season and draws in a small but faithful crowd. Well organised and friendly, this is one boat jumble not to be missed if you are in the area.

Directions To The Event

Littlehampton can be accessed via the A27, Crossbush roundabout. Head south on Lyminster Road (A284) towards the coast and pick up Beach Road after passing through Wick. If you miss Beach Road, don’t worry as it can be accessed from the east-west South Terrace Road (close to the pelican crossing, opposite the grassed beachside areas).

Other Activities Around Beach Road

If you have a free morning or afternoon why not pop into Littlehampton Museum. It’s a 10-minute walk from the boat jumble location and has an exciting collection of Roman archeological remains, historical photographs, and maps. Entry is free, and there are sometimes art exhibitions from local artists. Also check out Littlehampton pier, overlooking the Arun inlet and views into the English Channel - also stroll along East Beach and see ‘The Long Bench’ project (parking at East Beach Car Park).

Accommodation In The Littlehampton Area

Those boat jumblers thinking of making a weekend of it have plenty of options for accommodation - as you would expect in this seaside haven. Within walking distance to the event itself is 4-star East Beach Guest House on South Terrace, or a short drive away is Rustington Manor Hotel, also 4-star. On the opposite bank of the Arun, you can try The Harbour View Mobile Home Park, off Rope Walk and for the canvas campers, Acorns Campsite or Billycan Camping offer sites closer to the A27.
