Bentley Wildfowl Park and Motor Museum is located about 20 miles inland from Brighton and Eastbourne in the East Sussex upland wooded district of Wealden. This remote event, organised annually by Sussex Boat Jumbles, provides a scenic getaway location for visitors and stall holders. A stunning location whatever the weather.

Directions To The Event

There is only one entrance into the Bentley Wildfowl Park, and that entrance is Harvey’s Lane just southeast off the A22 if you are on the A26 exit onto Bradfords Lane and this will get you onto Harvey’s Lane. Once on Harvey’s Lane, take the eastern exit and drive past the campgrounds, and you will be lead you directly to the jumble!

Within the boat jumble location, itself is the Wildfowl Park, Motor Museum and The Bentley Miniature Railway - another veiled treasure! There’s more for Railway lovers further afield too with The Heritage Bluebell Railway around 30 minutes to the north-west, and the Lavender line within 10 minutes drive. There's more do along the coast too - check out Newhaven Fort at the mouth of the River Ouse due south, they also have a tea room!

Accommodation In The Nr Lewes Area

If under canvas tenting is your thing, Embers Camping located on site at the park provides wash-rooms, private campfires and more; unfortunately they don’t cater to caravans. Not to fret! Caravanners can find a place at Broomfield Farm Caravan and Motorhome Club Site, they provide tranquil pitches with electric hook-ups. If you're interested in a hotel your best bet is to look along the A22, there is the Beechwood B&B as well as the Halland Forge Hotel all within 7 minutes from the Jumble. If you like golf, there is also the East Sussex Nation- Hotel, golf resort and spa if you wanted to play a round while you enjoy your stay for the jumble.
