This atmospheric venue is popular with organisers and visitors alike and has an excellent layout for boat jumbles with hardstanding and grassed plots. The well-organised venue holds many events throughout the year, and the Ardingly Boat jumble is a well-established start of the year event.

If you are coming from the south via The B2112, just keep heading north until you hit Ardingly and it’s a straight path to the showground. The South of England Showground is located just off the B2028 where Lindfield Road turns into Seisfield Road. North coming travellers just need to stick on the B2028 until it turns off into Ardingly Road. Follow Ardingly Road and the jumble will be on your right.

There are plenty of things to do around Ardingly. On the doorstep is the Ardingly Reservoir, which is excellent for a morning or afternoon stroll. To the west, choose from Wings Aviation Museum or Nymans 20th-century garden, both within 25 minutes drive from the boat jumble. Head south to the Tudor gardens at Borde Hill or Beech Hurst Park Minature Railway. Or alternatively, head east and spend the day at the Llama Park in Wych Cross.

You shouldn’t have much trouble finding accommodations in Ardingly. The Ardingly B&B offers a friendly staff and service, with good food. If you are travelling in a caravan you may be looking at a bit of a drive to the event, the Longacres Caravan & Camping Park is situated north of the B2028 on the other side of Newchapel, giving you about a 17-minute drive. There is also a Travelodge located in the northern town of Crawley about 20 minutes from the event.
